Welcome to my magical corner of the internet, where I uncover the essential must-haves for your unforgettable Disney trip! Join me as I embark on a journey to ensure your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is nothing short of enchanting
As a Disney Vacation Club owner and a fervent Disney enthusiast, I find myself drawn to theenchantment of Disneyland multiple times a year. Each visit is a treasured opportunity to immerse myself in the magic of this beloved destination. However, as an admitted over-packer, preparing for these trips becomes a ritual of its own. My suitcase brims with Disney-themed attire, snacks for every craving, and an array of gadgets to capture every magical moment. Despite the eye-rolls from my family at my tendency to over-pack, I find comfort in knowing I'm prepared for any Disney adventure that comes our way. After all, when you're stepping into the realm of dreams and fantasy, a little extra preparation never hurts. That being said here is my list of all the things I cannot live without.
Double Stroller- Ok, so this stroller has saved tired legs on many of our Disney trips. We have been using it for about four years now and it is still going strong with hundreds of Disney miles on it. Our five year old still rides in it comfortably, along side our two year old. The basket holds a ton and the canopy is extra large to keep the sun out of their eyes. On a side note, if your little one is still using a bottle these are great bungees to attach to the stroller so they don't get thrown out or lost.
Single Stroller- This is our at home stroller for our two year old. We use it often and have absolutely no complaints. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and reclines far enough back for comfortable naps and relaxing. Also folds up pretty small to save space.
Straws- Now some of you may not agree with this but I cannot stand paper straws. They become soggy and bend and rip the longer they're in your drink. This pack of straws has lasted for many, many trips. (We always make sure to properly dispose of our straws.)
Phone Chargers- Ok, so these are a little heavy but man do they charge quick and you can do a couple charges on your device before having to recharge them. I always keep two of these in our so there is a back up and when we get back to the hotel I charge them over night so they are ready to go for the next day.
Ponchos- It does rain from time to time at Disneyland and having ponchos on hand is never a bad idea. They don't take up much space in the backpack so I don't mind carrying them around. Also I always bring an extra one to fit over the stroller instead of packing a stroller rain cover. I keep these clips on the stroller at all times, to either clip a blanket for more shade or to ensure the poncho stays on.
First Aid Kit- I make my own first aid kit and use these clear pouches (the clear pouches are a plus for going through security, its one less bag you'll have to open and worry about dealing with). What I keep inside:
-Imodium (Disney food always upsets my husband's stomach)
-Allergy Meds (adults and kids)
Like I said in the beginning I am an over packer so you may not need all of these things but I like to prepare for anything.
Thermos- My two year old still really enjoys his milk and unfortunately it is not easy to find 2% milk in the parks unless you're near a Starbucks. We always fill this thing up with milk and it stays cold for hours. Obviously you could put other liquids in it, water would also be a great option!
Fanny Pack/Belt Bag- I am a fanny pack girl through and through. I have tried small one shoulder back packs, cross bodies and everything in between and I will always go back to a fanny pack. It is so nice not having anything rubbing on my shoulder, hurting my back or causing discomfort throughout the day. I usually keep a small wallet, my cell phone, hand sanitizer and everything else goes in a backpack that stays in the stroller.
Cooling towels and Handheld Fans-The summer months can get HOT, and it is not fun dealing with three hot, cranky kids. So I make sure and have these one hand to prepare for the heat.
Bike Lock- We use the bike lock to attach our backpack to the stroller. Its long enough so we can pull the backpack out enough to find what we need but secures it to the stroller so no one can take off with it.
Pack your pixie dust and leave your worries behind! With these essential items in tow, your Disney adventure is bound to be a magical experience from start to finish. See you in the happiest place on earth!
